Our client is an award-winning multi-disciplinary practice in South West London that has also won several awards for being a great employer. They are now looking for an experienced and competent BIM Coordinator to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring team optimisation for working in Revit, associated technologies, workflows, and for delivery of coordinated models, data, reports and other related project documentation. 

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and expertise: 

  • Qualified as an Architect or an Architectural Technician/Technologist 
  • A minimum of 3 years UK professional work experience as a BIM Coordinator 
  • Experience working on large residential projects and delivering projects using Revit across all RIBA work stages and especially from Stage 4 onwards 
  • Experience in regular model auditing and clash detections simulations 
  • Advanced Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks skills are essential for this position (a minimum of 3 years’ experience) 
  • Experience working on BIM level 2/ISO 19650 projects 
  • Knowledge of Solibri, Vectorworks and Dynamo  
  • Sound technical understanding of UK construction processes, procedures, rules, and regulations 
  • Good oral and written communication 
  • Proficient document and report writing 
  • Proficient internal presenter

Production responsibilities

-Upload information to a CDE 
-Download information from a CDE 
-Setup of models/projects 
-Preparation of COBie information 
-Production of a COBie deliverable 
-Produce and Audit BIM content 
-Assist with Revit modelling as required 

Management responsibilities: 

  • Administration of a CDE 
  • Maintain the project BEP 
  • Ensure compliance with project standards 
  • Review and approve information/models for sharing 
  • Review of a single discipline model content/quality 
  • Review of multi-discipline model content/quality 
  • Review of single-discipline model coordination 
  • Review of multi-discipline model coordination 
  • Represent the practice at BIM meetings 
  • Project team support 
  • Project team training  

Strategic Responsibilities: 

  • Research and development 
  • Testing project information production methods and procedures
