BIM Lead

Our client is an AJ100 practice based in central London currently seeking a BIM Lead, ideally available at short notice. This person will be responsible for growing the BIM services and educating the entire practice with specific duties to:

• Help to determine requirements and manage client expectations at the beginning of a project, ensuring clarity and satisfaction with the outcome.
• Hold the primary responsibility to work with project teams to strategise, maintain, and employ effective BIM strategies, tasks, and workflows through the life of the project
• Promote expertise and benefits of BIM that FPA offers (and will be able to offer), to both clients and a wider audience.
• Build a BIM marketing strategy, liaising with the comms team with respect to website content and presentation material..
• Where appropriate work closely with the partners and associates to assess broader practice benefit/efficiencies / areas of improvement across the spectrum of practice development.
• Review appointments/EIRs to ensure the agreed role is appropriate and deliverable.
• With the BIM manager continue to develop and implement the practices ‘BIM Implementation plan’.
• With the BIM manager manage the current BIM resource and utilise them to encourage greater knowledge transfer with informal and formal assessment, review and development sessions. Track development and results to allow for the assessment BIM resource effectiveness and live resource development/ability log to assist with resource selection.
• With the BIM manager assess and develop all staff at various positions (Relevant to support staff as well as architectural/technical staff there is opportunity to develop skills that will improve project/practice efficiency and ultimately a greater understanding)
• Any other duties relative to BIM/Revit that the practice should require with respect to client/eternal relations.

• Present BIM capabilities to clients (Proactive role)
• Create internal on-site consultant approach to serve project teams
• Manage the production of BIM marketing material
• Integration of BIM and sustainable design
• Propose pilot initiatives and mange technically and financially
• Ensure project BIM execution plans adherence and success
• Take the lead in educating business development and organisation
• Build a BIM marketing strategy, liaising with the comms team with respect to website content and presentation material.
• Strategic on-going relationship with the BIM and software industries.
