Architect or Architectural Technologist - South London

Developer - Technician/Technologist

Our client is a construction and property development company, based in south west London who are looking for a Senior Architect or Architectural Technologist to join their team.

Candidates will need the following skills and experience:

  • a minimum of 5 years’ experience in architectural design and construction of mixed-use, residential, commercial, and interior design projects across all RIBA stages with site experience at stage 4 & 5.
  • Reasonable experience in planning and discharge of common planning conditions and strong understanding and experience on review of structural and M&E drawings.
  • Exceptional Design Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • BIM Level 2 processes + proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Project Management Skills and knowledge of building costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of detailed construction drawings, specifications, and schedules, for a variety of projects in compliance with building codes, regulations, and latest standards for a range of projects.
  • Oversee the review and evaluation of contractor bids and ensure compliance with design documents during construction and coordinating with contractors, other consultants, and design team members.
  • Conduct site visits and liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met and any issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Mentor and train junior staff in best practices and procedures, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, materials, and building codes for adequate design solutions.

Qualifications & Personal Qualities

  • Degree in Architecture / Architectural Technology or a related field with strong technical experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, structured working methods and analytical thinking.
  • Great attention to detail, methodical, creative, organised, and a positive person with innovative ideas.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and goal-oriented with good time-keeping skills shown across all the projects.
