Our client is a small practice based in Spitalfields that is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic project/team leader with excellent management, design and technical skills to join their Senior Team to head up delivery and take an active part in the development of the Practice.

The ideal candidate will combine strong professional skills and personal initiative with an interest in the business of architecture. You will be an ambassador for the practice, with excellent communication skills, comfortable networking and presenting to potential clients and existing stakeholders and consultant teams as well as managing and delivering project work. As a member of the management team, you will take responsibility for specific areas as well as contributing to the management of the practice.

This is a rare opportunity for the right candidate to progress from leading multiple projects and teams to a more strategic role in an ambitious mixed-use practice.

  • A talented designer, with a solid portfolio that demonstrates creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of projects in different sectors and of varying size from inception to completion (a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience).
  • Proven ability to manage projects and people, sensitively and constructively.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCad, experience of BIM coordination would be an advantage.
  • ARB Registered, with knowledge and experience of dealing with contracts.
  • An interest in the business of architecture.
  • The permanent right to live and work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Projects:

  • Delivery lead, providing professional oversight, guidance and advice to other team members.
  • The opportunity to work on projects at all stages.
  • Ensure projects are managed to a professional standard and in accordance with their procedures. 
  • Support other teams in any capacity that is required.

Business development:

  • Work with the Directors to generate new work, fee proposals and programmes.
  • Manage and develop client relationships.

Practice Management:

  • Contribute to the management and development of the Practice as part of the Senior Team.
  • Lead on specific strategic professional matters (e.g. CDM and BIM).
