An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced BIM Manager to join a major UK construction project, supporting a large-scale development through a critical delivery phase.

This role will be focused on establishing, implementing and managing BIM processes across a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring that consultants, architects and specialist subcontractors are working to consistent standards throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

Working within a construction management procurement environment, you will take ownership of BIM strategy and coordination, helping to drive best practice and improve collaboration between project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing BIM standards, protocols and workflows across the project team.
  • Ensuring consistency of information and model management between the architect, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Supporting project teams in meeting client BIM requirements and information delivery milestones.
  • Reviewing BIM Execution Plans and ensuring compliance across all parties.
  • Coordinating model-sharing processes and Common Data Environment (CDE) procedures.
  • Identifying and resolving BIM-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing guidance and support to design and construction teams on BIM best practice.
  • Promoting efficient collaboration and information exchange across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a BIM Manager, BIM Lead or Senior BIM Coordinator position.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards, information management and project delivery processes.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across complex construction projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM implementation during technical design and construction stages.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain project-wide standards and procedures.

Desirable

  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure, sports, transport or public-sector projects.
  • Familiarity with construction management procurement routes.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and associated BIM standards.
  • Experience working with consultants, architects and specialist subcontractors in a live project environment.

The Opportunity

The contract is expected to run for a minimum of nine months, with the potential to extend up to twelve months.
