BIM Specialist (Part-Time / Remote)

Overview

A specialist BIM consultancy working with leading architects, developers and contractors across a range of high-profile design-led projects is seeking an experienced BIM Specialist to join the team on a flexible, part-time basis. Working remotely, you will provide embedded BIM support across a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor, trainer and technical expert. This role is ideally suited to someone seeking a long-term, flexible position alongside existing commitments, with an anticipated workload of approximately 17.5–20 hours per week, subject to project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day BIM support to architects, developers and contractors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong and trusted working relationships.
  • Deliver BIM training and mentoring to project teams and organisations.
  • Support project teams with model development, coordination and implementation of BIM processes.
  • Advise clients on BIM best practice, workflows and project delivery strategies.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of BIM standards, templates and documentation.
  • Support project teams in meeting industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops and presentations as required.

  • Advanced knowledge of BIM processes, workflows and best practice.

  • Confident operating in a client-facing and advisory capacity.
  • Strong training, coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Highly organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently whilst maintaining close collaboration with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to technical challenges.
  • Professional, personable and consultative in approach.

Experience Required

  • Previous experience working as a BIM Specialist, BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager or similar role.
  • Architectural background strongly preferred, ideally as an Architect, Architectural Technologist or Architectural Assistant with significant BIM expertise.
  • Experience supporting design teams within architecture, construction, engineering or development environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and associated BIM software.
  • Experience delivering BIM training and supporting user adoption across organisations.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650, information management principles and the Golden Thread framework is desirable.
  • Experience working directly with external clients and stakeholders is highly advantageous.
  • Experience across complex, design-led, cultural, commercial, residential or mixed-use projects would be beneficial.

Package

  • Fully remote position.
