9B is working with a growing architectural practice to appoint a Senior Architectural Technologist or Senior Technical Architect to join its expanding team.
With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments, the practice is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced technical professional to play a key role in project delivery, team development, and the ongoing evolution of technical standards across the business.

The Role
You will take ownership of projects through technical design, tender, and construction stages, ensuring schemes are coordinated, buildable, compliant, and delivered to the highest standards.
Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, you will play a leading role in both project delivery and the development of technical excellence within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of residential and mixed-use developments
- Produce and oversee high-quality tender and construction information
- Develop robust and coordinated construction details
- Manage project programmes, deliverables, and technical outputs
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Liaise directly with clients, developers, and contractors
- Resolve complex technical and construction challenges
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Contribute to technical standards, quality assurance, and best practice procedures
- Assist with project planning, resource management, and delivery strategies
About You
- Qualified Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist
- Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience
- Proven experience delivering residential and mixed-use developments
- Strong technical design, detailing, and project delivery skills
- Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies
- Experience producing and coordinating tender and construction packages
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Commercially aware with excellent client-facing communication abilities
- Comfortable leading projects and mentoring colleagues
Desirable Experience
- Experience working directly with developers and contractors
- Knowledge of residential-led mixed-use projects incorporating commercial, retail, or community uses
- Understanding of Building Safety Act requirements and Gateway processes
- Experience with BIM coordination and digital project delivery
- Revit experience beneficial
