Our client is a large-scale international project management and construction business who have an office in Saudi Arabia working on a wide range of projects. They are now actively seeking a Transport Planning Director with at least 18 years of experience to join their Riyadh team of over 100 people. 

The role will predominantly be working on a project related to Urban Mobility Planning and Engineering, Development Planning, Traffic Impact Study, Transport Assessment, Pedestrian Flow Analysis, Crowd Management and Mobility Planning of Major Events and Safety Audit. The Transport Planning Director will apply excellent knowledge of a range of transport planning principles and techniques to deliver client objectives and will accurately interpret and communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated leadership experience and possess a sound technical background in transport economics, transport policy, transport strategy, rail and bus planning, business cases or sustainable transport planning.

Candidates will need the following skills and experience:

 

  • Have a degree in an applicable subject, Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering, with a minimum of 18 years of experience.
  • Proven knowledge in financial management and budgeting, proficiency in strategic Project Management,
  • Proven ability and strong track record of delivering, customer-focused and competitive expert delivering a wide range of projects, awareness of commercial and technical management of projects to assist in ensuring that these are managed effectively within budgetary constraints.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is an added value.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working internationally.
