Senior Architect/Architectural Technologist

A small and expanding practice based on the Hertfordshire/Essex border is working on residential projects ranging from extensions to new-build dwellings, conversions and larger housing developments. They are seeking an ambitious Senior Architect/Architectural Technologist to join them and hopefully take a senior role within the business. Candidates will need the following skills and experience:

• at least 10 years’ experience
• ideally be ARB registered but not essential 
• have good understanding of design constraints within various areas / boroughs
• have strong client facing skills 
• good knowledge of construction and be able to draw technical drawings and detailed building regulation drawings when necessary 
• have strong knowledge of Contract Administration and be comfortable in dealing with projects on site, site visits, checking quotations, dealing with builders and sub-contractors 
• have good presentation skills to clients / planners and other consultants 
• have an understanding how the business works financially and meeting deadlines
• must be able to use AUTOCAD, excel, word, sketchup, photoshop
