New surge in jobs surprisingly coincides with an increase in redundancies

Having thought the market slowdown would continue up until the election, the last week has seen a positive rebound with a number of new opportunities coming into 9B. These are predominantly for roles in the £30,000 - £40,000 range and working on large scale residential and the Private Rented Sector.

Although there is a good amount of positive news in the market, there have also been a number of redundancies to counter this and showing a very split market dependent on the sector you are in. The number of options for Architects working on central London luxury residential has certainly reduced and commercial appears to be slower in the lead-up to the general election.

With an increase in the number of architects looking for work and more competition for jobs, salary rises will probably be limited over the coming months and see wages sadly fall behind rising inflation.

The latest roles 9B is actively recruiting for include:

AJ100 studio seeks an experienced Masterplanner http://bit.ly/2pTsqNU
Architects passionate about Stadia design http://bit.ly/2pTsopo
